’Celebrity Big Brother’ is set to crown its most controversial ever, if the bookies are to be believed.
Stephen Bear is the odds-on favourite to walk out of the Borehamwood bungalow as this year’s victor, when the series draws to a close during Friday (26 August) night’s live final.
Bookmakers William Hill currently have the ‘Ex On The Beach’ star pegged at 4/7 to be crowned the winner, with 22% of all wagers placed being on Bear.
“People have latched onto what they think is a conspiracy for Bear to win the show and have backed him to the extent that we do not think he can lose and we could be hit hard if he does it tonight,” said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Ricky Norwood is second favourite at 2/1, with Marnie Simpson following at 8/1.
Aubrey O’Day looks likely to finish in sixth place with odds of 50/1 to win, while it’s also not looking good for Renee Graziano (20/1) or Frankie Grande (40/1).
Throughout the series, ‘CBB’ producers have been accused of unfairly editing the show in favour of Bear, by not showing the extent of his bad behaviour, and giving him repeated warnings which don’t make it to TV.
Join Emma Willis for the live ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ final, airing tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
