Celebrity Mastermind Contestant Amanda Henderson Has Hilarious Greta Thunberg Mix-Up

Who is Sharon?!

Over the last few months, teen climate activist Greta Thunberg has become one of the most famous people in the world.

But try telling that to Celebrity Mastermind contestant Amanda Henderson.

The actor, who plays Robyn Miller in Casualty, delivered a nugget of TV gold when she completely renamed the 16-year-old environmentalist.

After sailing through the first round of the BBC quiz show, where her specialist subject was Disney films, she later came a cropper in the general knowledge round when host John Humphries asked: “The 2019 book entitled No-one Is Too Small To Make A Difference is a collection of speeches made by a Swedish climate change activist. What’s her name?”

Amanda’s answer?

“Sharon.”

Clearly someone has been watching too much EastEnders over the Christmas period.

A clip of the moment soon went viral on Twitter, with people absolutely creased at Amanda’s answer...

Meanwhile, Greta is currently at the centre of an Ofcom storm, after comedian Rosie Jones made an “inappropriate” joke about her on The Last Leg.

The TV watchdog has received 22 complaints after Rosie said: “I mean Greta’s amazing and what she’s doing is brilliant. But don’t do it now.

“She needs to live a little, she’s only 16. She should be doing two things – drinking Lambrini and getting fingered.”

As is standard procedure, the regulator will have to assess all the complaints before deciding whether or not to launch an investigation into if the show broke their broadcasting code.
