Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is officially no longer married to estranged husband Jean-Bernard.

“Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini have today obtained a decree nisi in their divorce proceedings,” her rep said.

“No further comment will be made and they ask for their privacy to be respected.”

Cheryl is not believed to have been present for the hearing, which is said to have lasted just a few minutes.

Cheryl and Jean-Bernard tied the knot in a private ceremony on the island of Mustique in July 2014, announcing they were married on her Instagram page around a week later.

Rumours first circulated the couple had split late last year, after less than two years of marriage.

Since it was first confirmed the two had ended their relationship, Cheryl has begun a new relationship with former One Direction singer Liam Payne, with fans currently speculating they could be expecting their first child together.

The two are presently yet to address the rumours, which began when Liam changed his Twitter bio, claiming he was now “the luckiest man in the world”.

Earlier this week, it was suggested the two had made an official announcement, when ‘Congratulations Liam’ trended on Twitter, though fans quickly realised this was actually because he had signed a new recording contract.

Cheryl was previously married to footballer Ashley Cole from 2006 to 2010, but divorced after numerous reports of his infidelity.
