Ejected ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate Christopher Biggins has spoken out about his departure from the house, suggesting that show bosses “wanted him out from the start”.
Biggins was infamously given the boot from the most recent series, via the back door, after repeated offensive comments, including the suggestion that AIDS is a “bisexual disease” and a joke about the Holocaust to Katie Waissel.
Speaking about accusations that the show was “fixed” for Stephen Bear to win, he told The Mirror: “Everyone has said it. They wanted Bear or Marnie to win. And look what happened.
Hmmm… that’s not the impression we got, Biggins, given that you were given the honour of being the first housemate to enter the house this summer.
And that you were immune from nominations on day one.
And that producers didn’t even give you a warning when you said bisexuals were the “worst kind” of people.
Oh, and that you were allegedly the highest-paid housemate this summer.
While we’re on the subject of his ‘CBB’ fee, the panto star also confirmed to The Mirror that he was paid for his appearance, despite not eventually being axed due to his unacceptable behaviour.
Although he didn’t disclose any exact figures, he clarified: “I was told I would get a certain amount when I was kicked out and it was half of that.”
Biggins was eventually the only one of this year’s ‘CBB’ housemates absent from the live final, which Channel 5 later clarified was because he had not been invited back.
