When it comes to raising money for Comic Relief, there are a whole heap of challenges celebs have taken on; from climbing Kilimanjaro to climbing the Three Peaks and cycling between them.
But not all challenges have to be quite so serious, as Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly are currently demonstrating with their 24-hour danceathon.
The Strictly Come Dancing hosts kicked things off at 7pm last night – starting by dancing to Beyoncé, naturally – and will be on their feet until at least 7pm tonight.
The aim is to go past the 24-hour mark to beat the danceathon record Sara Cox set in 2017.
And so far, they’re bearing up alright, with some amazing action shots being shared online by Comic Relief:
Tess and Claudia are getting a little help from some celeb pals along the way and they’ve already had plenty of well-wishers stop with Mary Berry bringing some chocolate cake to the studio.
Jake Quickenden and the cast of Hair the Musical also popped in to help out with a run through of Gangnam Style (sadly, Ed Balls was nowhere to be seen) and Arlene Phillips also offered some dance tips.
Tess’ husband, Vernon Kay, also arrived to offer some words of support.
Ahead of the challenge, the ladies learnt learning some new moves and took some tips from the Strictly pros, so they’ll be able to do more than just shuffle from side to side as the day goes on.
Shortly before starting the challenge, Claudia said: “I know it’s going to be hilarious to watch because we’re pretty bad dancers – I’m not very good at standing, let alone dancing.
“Thankfully we’ll have each other and we’re going to push through to raise as much money as we can for Red Nose Day.”
Red Nose Day 2019 is taking place this Friday and a short film on Tess and Claud’s efforts will form part of the evening’s BBC One telethon.
Jennifer Saunders will also be starring in a brand new Mamma Mia! spoof while Richard Curtis has reunited the Four Weddings And A Funeral cast for another nuptials.
