Anyone who saw Kiliminjaro: The Bigger Red Nose Climb on BBC One on Wednesday night would have felt like they were with the nine celebs every step of the way as they conquered the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.
But amongst the tears and sheer determination of Little Mix stars Jade Thirwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Love Island winner Dani Dyer, TV presenters Dan Walker, Alexander Armstrong, Anita Rani, Strictly judge Shirley Ballas, former MP Ed Balls and NFL star Osi Umenyiora there was a lot of laughter to be found.
Maybe it was the lack of sleep. Maybe it was the lack of oxygen. But there were some brilliant comedic moments as the group trekked the 55 gruelling miles up Kili.
Well, if they didn’t laugh, they’d cry. Mind you, there were a lot of tears too.
Here’s out round-up of the funniest moments...
“I think the biggest challenge for me is gonna be... the walking.”
““I’m looking forward to it. I was a boy scout. I love a PIP.””
“I’ve never been this cold. My nipples are just so hard, it hurts.”
““I’m used to bathing three or four times a day so the prospect of washing your bits and bobs with a wet wipe is really… daunting.””
“I’m quite scared of animals. Monkeys are cute and all that but I wouldn’t want to look one in the eye, cos I’d think ‘what’s your intentions?’ You can’t have a conversation with a monkey.”
“I feel like I had 3 glasses of dodgy red wine last night.”
“Why do you sing it so posh?”
“I’d like to thank my mum. My dad. And the flushing mechanism.”
“I’m in a pickle. I’m a like a little old lady who’s shit herself.”
“We are stool brother and sister.”
“I’ve never even climbed a climbing frame. I’m scared of slides.”
