After harbouring a long-standing crush on Dev Alahan, Coronation Street's Mary Taylor is finally set to have her way with him.
Fans will see the pair get together in scenes to air on the ITV soap next week, when they fall into bed with one another during a stay at a hotel.
It happens after Mary (Patti Clare) and Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) spend the evening enjoying the contents of the mini bar during a night away, and one thing soon leads to another.
But while Mary wakes up the next morning full of the joys of spring, enthusing about what a fantastic time she's had, Dev isn't exactly sharing the same feelings.
The Weatherfield businessman is horrified to realise that he's slept with his children's nanny, but will he break Mary's heart by revealing this to her?
Viewers have known of Mary's love for Dev for a long time, and she famously fought Julie Carp for his affections after the death of his wife, Sinita, who was killed in the 2013 tram crash.
'Coronation Street' airs these scenes on Wednesday 6 July 2016 on ITV.
