Danniella Westbrook has been forced to deny having a drugs relapse, after new pictures prompted concern her septum had collapsed again.
The former ‘EastEnders’ star was at the centre of speculation when she was spotted with a bandage across her nose, in new photos published by The Sun.
They lead some people to wrongly conclude she had been using cocaine again, given she had previously worn away part of her nose at the height of her addiction during the 1990s.
Danniella’s spokesperson has now spoken out about the pictures, insisting she has actually been suffering with septicaemia.
It is not the first time in recent weeks Danniella has refuted claims she’s relapsed.
Last month, she was reported to have been using cocaine again after discovering that her boyfriend had been unfaithful, according to an interview allegedly given to the Daily Star.
She then claimed the quotes thought to be from her were actually the work of a hacker, telling MailOnline: “It’s not nice to think they are fixated on pretending to be me and getting access to all my private emails.
Danniella has been clean for the past two years, after returning to rehab in 2014, when she relapsed.
Prior to that, she had not used cocaine in a decade, after her severe addiction eventually led to her losing her role as Sam Mitchell in ‘EastEnders’ in 2000.
The past year has seen Danniella returning to the public eye, reprising her ‘EastEnders’ role for Peggy Mitchell’s funeral, after making it to the final of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in January.
