Declan Donnelly had I’m A Celebrity viewers howling on Wednesday night, after he broke out a Boris Johnson impression to rival Matt Lucas’.
During the latest instalment of the ITV reality show, he and co-presenter Ant McPartlin were seen passing comment on Victoria Derbyshire’s joke-telling ability (or lack of), when they said they “can’t wait for [her] next hard-hitting interview”.
“Prime Minister, the public has a right to know what is green and wobbly and flies through the sky?” Ant asked, in character as Victoria.
Ruffling his hair and muttering, Dec then responded, as Johnson: “Er… er… a jellycopter.”
“Evening Prime Minister!” he added. “He’s definitely watching.”
“He’s isolating, isn’t he?” Ant then pointed out, referring to the fact that the PM is currently in the middle of a two-week quarantine, after the NHS Test and Trace app told him he had been in “close contact” with a Tory MP who had tested positive for Covid-19.

Great British Bake Off newcomer Matt Lucas previously won praise for his own impression of Boris Johnson, which he debuted on Twitter during lockdown, and later revived when hosting his first episode of the Channel 4 show.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden gave Gillian Anderson a run for her money, when she revealed she could do a rather impressive Margaret Thatcher.
