Has Discovery Channel found the new "Duck Dynasty"?
The Huffington Post has an exclusive sneak peek, above, at the second episode of "Porter Ridge" (Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET), which is possibly even more hillbilly than that other A&E mega-hit and we're only on Week 2.
"The Ridge is a place where a guy can have a yard full of pet grizzly bears, use dynamite recreationally and hold family demolition derbies," Discovery describes of the series, which is set in a junkyard in the hills of Indiana. "The code of life on the Ridge is simple: respect the lord, love your family and watch each other's backs."
Porter Ridge" is being called a "comedic series" -- not a comedy and not a reality series -- but does that mean it's even more scripted than most "unscripted" fare? Watch and see for yourself (and note the sign outside the junkyard office that says "NO SMOKEING." That can't be for real, right?).
Who talks like that? Who dresses like that? And who doesn't know what Craigslist is?
Tell us: Will you watch "Porter Ridge"? And do these junkyard guys pose a threat to the duck call dudes?
"Porter Ridge" airs Tuesdays at 10:30 p.m. ET on Discovery.
