If you're a Disney fan, then you know about the Magic Kingdom park in Florida, and you've likely even paid a visit. But did you know that Disney runs two full-on water parks right next door?!
Umm, we didn't either.
Meet Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, aka some of the best water parks around:
If some of these photos look outdated, it's probably because they are: Disney opened Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach in 1989 and 1995, respectively.
Not too many people consider the water parks a must-do when visiting Disney World. But they should, because the parks took top honors in TripAdvisor's recent ranking of the country's best water parks. The survey was based on 12 months of visitor reviews and ratings.
At Typhoon Lagoon, visitors can snorkel with sharks, take surfing lessons in a wave pool or brave some seriously intense slides. At Blizzard Beach, you might ride a real-deal chair lift, zip down a high-speed chute ride, or participate in this summer's Frozen Games (because seriously, what Disney park HASN'T been Frozen-ified yet?!). It truly is magic.

Disney's water parks operate pretty much year-round: Each one closes for a month or so during winter, but the other remains open so visitors always have access to one of the parks, Disney spokesperson Kitty Phillips told HuffPost.
With adult admission at $60, they're cheaper than the theme parks and make a great day off when the Magic Kingdom feels too crowded or chaotic. Plus, who doesn't want to take part in a hidden corner of Disney magic?
We're all ears.
