Love Island's Amber Davies Lands Dolly Parton Musical Role Alongside Louise Redknapp

And the trailer for it is suitably ridiculous.

‘Love Island’ winner Amber Davies has been cast in the new Dolly Parton musical, ‘9 To 5’.

The series three champion was a theatre performer prior to appearing on the ITV2 reality show, and will take on a lead role in the production, arriving in London’s West End in January.

She will play Violet Newstead in the musical, which features the hits of Dolly Parton, and is based on the 1980 film of the same name.

Amber will star alongside former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ runner-up Louise Redknapp and comedian Brian Conley.

The news was announced in a suitably ridiculous advert that Dolly posted on Twitter, which features the country legend herself.

In the clip, she is seen calling all of the cast members as they are asleep, before they - you guessed it - jump out of bed and stumble to the kitchen.

So excited to announce that @9to5MusicalUK is hitting London's West End! It's inspired by the film and features all original music written by me. Y'all don't want to miss this!

‘9 To 5: The Musical’ tells the story of three workmates who are pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss, eventually concocting a plan to turn the tables on him.

It will run at the Savoy Theatre for a limited season, from January to August.
