Donald Trump will have a face-to-face meeting with Prince Charles during his state visit to Britain next month, according to a report.

The US president will meet the heir to the throne at Charles’ Clarence House residence in London, news network CNN reported.

Trump – who is a climate change sceptic – could clash with the famously political and pro-environment prince during the meeting, which is expected to take place behind closed doors.

Visiting heads of state are normally afforded an audience with their counterpart, Queen Elizabeth II, but not the heir to the throne, the Prince of Wales.

Charles met Trump and his wife Melania previously in November 2005 at an occasion in New York.

Clarence House was not immediately available to confirm CNN’s report when contacted by HuffPost UK.
