Three men are being questioned on suspicion of murder after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death in a car park, authorities said.
The victim was fatally knifed in Dudley, in the West Midlands, in the early hours of Saturday.
Officers were called by ambulance staff who were working to save his life, but he died at the scene in Engine Lane, Brierley Hill, at around 1am, West Midlands Police said.
Three men – aged 30, 27, and 25 – were arrested suspicion of murder and are being questioned by police in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster said: “We are working to establish the circumstances around the sad death of this man.
“We have specialist officers supporting his family at this extremely painful and difficult time.
“Knife crime ruins lives and devastates families.”
A cordon remains in place and detectives are conducting house-to-house enquiries, the force said.
He appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, urging them to call the force quoting log number 145 of October 13.
