Viewers will now see the Mitchell family struggle to cope in the wake of Peggy’s death, and one final member of the clan, Sam, will arrive to say farewell.

The funeral scenes, which have already been filmed, look set to be suitably emotional, while on the other side of Walford, trouble is brewing for the Beale family.
