Emmys 2019: Game Of Thrones Leads The Way With Record-Breaking 32 Nominations

Fleabag, Chernobyl and Bodyguard have also made the shortlists.

Fleabag, Killing Eve and Game Of Thrones are among the hit shows up for awards at this year’s Emmys, it has been announced.

The annual ceremony will take place in Los Angeles this September and it looks like British stars will be out in force – while the Game Of Thrones cast and crew look set for a bumper night out.

The final series of the hit HBO drama has received a whooping 32 nominations, including Best Drama Series, Lead Actor and Actress (for Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke, respectively).

Four of its female star will battle it out for Best Supporting Actress (Gwendoline Christie, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams while three of their male co-stars are up for Best Supporting Actor (Alfie Allen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldeau and Peter Dinklage.

Elsewhere, Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh have both received nods in the Lead Actress in a Drama Series category, while Hugh Grant (A Very English Scandal) is up for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Series.

Fleabag is up for five awards; Best Comedy Series, Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Best Supporting Actress (with Sian Clifford and Olivia Colman both receiving nominations) and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (with Fiona Shaw and Kristin Scott Thomas nominated).

The eligibility period for the 2019 Emmys is 1 June 2018 to 31 May 2019.

The ceremony will take place on 22 September.
