The last 12 months have been something of a whirlwind for England’s netball team. After winning gold at the Commonwealth Games in April 2018, the team was named BBC Sport Personality’s Team of the Year and it appears the only way is up.
Now, three members of the winning team have starred in a campaign for high street retailer Oasis – and it’s a fun-filled celebration of women in sport.
The campaign, which is called ‘Lovely Does It’, features three team members including Ama Agbeze, who captained the England team during the 2018 Commonwealth Games; Jade Clarke, England’s most capped player; and Eboni Usoro-Brown, three-time Commonwealth Games competitor.
The campaign is full of gorgeous midi dresses, which we’re obsessed with, and a lot of animal print – but would you expect anything less right now?
The campaign also celebrates the players’ achievements beyond their netball careers, from mentoring schoolchildren and practising law, to winning a scholarship and giving inspirational speeches.
The images will be displayed in stores across the country, which is great news for bringing greater visibility to women in sport. Joanne Sinclair, commercial director at England Netball, said: “Partnering with such an established high-street retailer is really exciting for England Netball as it enables us to engage with and reach a new audience helping us to continue to grow our wonderful sport.”
