Estella Warren, the actress who appeared in 2001’s “Planet of the Apes,” was arrested Sunday for domestic violence, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to HuffPost.
Warren, 38, reportedly got into an argument with her boyfriend in her Marina del Rey apartment, according to TMZ. Law enforcement sources told the outlet Warren threw cleaning liquid at the man, who, TMZ notes, declined medical treatment on the scene.
Warren was released on bail, which was set at $20,000.
HuffPost has reached out to Warren’s lawyers and manager for comment and will update this post accordingly.
The actress was previously arrested in 2011 for driving under the influence. She reportedly hit three parked cars, kicked a police officer and attempted to flee the police station, TMZ reported.
Warren pled guilty to a DUI charge, while the other charges were eventually dropped. She was sentenced to 60 months of summary probation and ordered to enroll in an 18-month alcohol program. Warren also owed almost $2,000 in costs and penalties.
At the time, the “Kangaroo Jack” actress told TMZ, “I take my actions and their consequences very seriously. I can’t express enough how grateful I am that no one was injured or hurt. Moving forward I am focusing all my efforts on my career, my family and being a good influence to others.”
