Eurovision Presenter's 'Crazy Is The New Black' Comment Goes Down Rather Badly

Yeah, that's not funny.

A presenter on Eurovision used an interlude to make a joke about mental health and viewers were far from impressed

In an inter-song break, the female host was showing off 'memorabilia' for the singing event.

After highlighting a hat she then moved on to the next exhibit - a straitjacket.

She said: "And if you're a really crazy fan I strongly recommend the Eurovision straitjacket.

"You know what they say - crazy is the new black."

Erm... we'll let you take it from here.

Why is there a man wearing a straitjacket and why is this woman saying "crazy is the new black" #Eurovision pic.twitter.com/z7yhBRZ5kX

@bbceurovision the "crazy is the new black" line from the hosts was appalling. mental health jokes fine, will we have racism or homophobia?

Very disappointed with @Eurovision "crazy is the new black" alongside a straight jacket. It's not funny it's stigma 😡 #Eurovision
