The eyes and the surrounding area take a lot of strain in our day to day lives. This can result in lines, wrinkles, bags and puffiness meaning the eye area looks tired and aged. By using a few simple techniques from The Danielle Collins Face Yoga Method, the wear and tear of this area can be softened, reduced and even reversed.
Try these four exercises, once a day for the next month, and your eye muscles will become stronger, your skin will produce more collagen and elastin and your circulatory system will become more effective at eliminating toxins.
The 'V'
Put both your middle fingers together between your eyebrows then apply pressure to the outer corners of your eyes with your index fingers. Look up and start to move the lower eyelids upwards, making a strong squint. Then relax and repeat six more times. To finish squeeze your eyes shut for ten seconds then relax.
Flirty Eyes
Cover your teeth with your lips and make your mouth into an 'O' shape, pulling your top and bottom lip away from each other. Then place your index fingers horizontally under your eyes and look upwards. Start to flutter your upper eyes lids and lashes. Keep this going for thrity seconds.
Shifty Eyes
Without moving the head, neck or face start to move the eyes to look at the right hand side, then to the left, up to the ceiling and down to the floor. Then close your eyes for five seconds and repeat one more time. Next, open your eyes wide without wrinkling the brow. Focus on a point in front of you and take four deep breaths and finish by closing the eyes.
Circle the Eyes
Place your index fingers at the edge of your eyebrows. Start to gently tap around your eyes following the top of your eyebrows and then continue under your eye. Then repeat the opposite way. Next, using the index fingers, very gently stroke just under the eyes from the nose outwards, four times.
