Fast food workers have revealed the meals you should never order from the restaurants they work in, as well as their tips and tricks for ensuring your dinner arrives fresh.
Reddit user 'enantiodromia_' asked people working in the fast food trade to reveal the dishes that customers should never order from them.
From Starbucks "overpriced" sandwiches to McDonald's grilled chicken and filet o fish, here's what you need to know...
One worker from Subway said that the "oven roasted chicken" they sold in their sub rolls was actually "boiled in the microwave".
While another advised people not to order the footlong flatbread meatball sub. However they didn't give a reason why.
A former Starbucks employee claimed that the coffee chain's food is basically just "reheated frozen food", before adding: "It's just not fresh at all and incredibly overpriced."
Another Reddit user said that anything with egg in is a no no, particularly once breakfast has ended.
"They keep a very small amount warm after breakfast and it tends to get old fast," they said.
A former McDonald's worker in Canada said that the grilled chicken and filet o fish meals could be sat on the side for a long time.
Their golden rule is: "Don't be afraid to order them fresh."
Many people in the thread agreed that 'secret menu' items from places like Starbucks and McDonald's are not actually a thing and many employees haven't got a clue how to make them.
Another guy added that people should refrain from ordering "small pizzas" from restaurants.
"They're such a pain to make right. If the dough is warm, they tear. If the dough is cold, you can't do shit. On top of that, it's a huge waste of your money," they wrote.
In response to the thread, a spokesperson for Subway said: "Each of our Subs, including the Meatball Marinara, are freshly prepared in front of the customer exactly as they like and therefore may differ slightly in appearance but not in the amount of ingredients served.
"Our chicken products arrive in store pre-cooked and while the majority of customers choose to have their Sub heated by toasting, all of our products can be eaten hot or cold."
