Florida Zoo Welcomes First Baby Sloth Birth

Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida, welcomed its first baby sloth birth in October. The baby was rejected by its mother, so zookeepers will be on feeding duties for several months. The baby is a Linnaeus’ two-toed sloth, a species threatened by habitat loss and the exotic pet trade in central and South America.
