Gemma Atkinson has said pregnancy makes her feel like a superwoman – no different to how she felt about her body before she was expecting.
Sharing a comparison photo on Instagram of her body before she got pregnant and now, the former Strictly Come Dancing star wrote: “Our bodies are incredible! What they are capable of doing astounds me, and in both these pictures I felt / feel like superwoman.”
The photos showed Atkinson in sportswear holding weights, compared to a snap of her gazing down at her bump.

Atkinson continued: “I have a life inside of me ticking away ready to join us soon. The little kicks and turns and flutters are just wonderful.”
Mums commented on her Instagram post agreeing that pregnancy made them feel similar about their own bodies. “I felt like I could achieve anything after growing a life,” one wrote. Another commented: “You’re so right, and thanks for showing us all that our bodies changing is a great thing.”
The 34-year-old and her partner Gorka Marquez revealed they were expecting their first child together back in February 2019, having met on the BBC dance show in 2017.
At the time, Atkinson posted a photo of their two dogs holding signs saying: “Guess what, mum’s pregnant, we’re going to be big brothers!”
“And what amazing big brothers they will be,” she captioned the snap. “Myself and Gorks are beyond excited and happy and feel incredibly blessed to be meeting our new family member later this year. Baby Marquez! We love you loads already.
