Last week, Gemma Collins made headlines when she vowed to delete her sex tape during an interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
“I might go skint one day, and I’ve gotta do a Kim K,” Gemma told the host, when asked whether she’d held onto the sex tape she’d spoken about in pst interviews. “Do you know what? Sex sells.
“It’s probably about 20 minutes long, but we’ve all done it with our partners, you know. I’m normal.”
Well, it turns out the whole thing was completely made up.
Coming clean during an appearance on Mel Giedroyc’s new Dave show Unforgivable, The GC explained: “I said in an interview once, thinking it was funny, that I’d done a sex tape like Kim K. Didn’t think any more of it.
“Next thing, I’m being interviewed by Piers Morgan on Life Stories and he leads me in it.
“I thought, ‘Shit’. But now I’m in deep. I’ve got myself in hot water.
“There is no sex tape,” she added. “It’s just one big fat lie.”
Despite telling such a whopper, the former TOWIE star’s appearance on Life Stories generally went down well with viewers, who were surprised to see a more sensitive side to The GC.
Gemma’s confession isn’t the only revelation that’s come out on Unforgivable, though.
Graham Norton recently confessed to having undergone unnecessary surgery as a child when a lie to get out of going to school went too far, while Mel also admitted to a truly disgusting act from her days working in catering.
Unforgivable airs on Dave on Tuesday nights at 10pm.
