George Michael’s extensive private art collection is set to go under the hammer later this month, and if you have a few hundred quid to spare (or a few million) then you could be in with a chance of owning one for the late Wham! star’s pieces.

Christie’s is set to auction off more than 200 works belonging to the singer on 14 March, with estimates ranging from £400 - £1.5million, giving fans and collectors alike a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to acquire art once owned by George Michael.

The private collection includes artwork by British artists such as Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, Michael Craig-Martin and Marc Quinn.

As well as the auction, the complete collection will be open for the public to view at Christie’s in London’s King Street from 9-14 March.

The auction house will also be given a multi-media makeover to display the collection - a first for the London HQ.

As well as the artworks, visitors will experience a special exhibition, with four of George’s groundbreaking albums, Faith, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, Patience and Older, being represented throughout the Christie’s building, alongside artefacts including the chair from George’s iconic Fast Love video and the outfits worn by him in the clip for Freeek.

The iconic chair featured in the Fast Love video will be on view at Christie's London HQ.
