Muse have kicked off the first official night of Glastonbury 2016 in style as they headlined the Pyramid Stage on Friday (24 June).

The rockers delighted the crowd with an electrifying set at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.

Frontman Matt Bellamy and his fellow bandmates worked their way through a 21 song setlist, including some of their biggest hits like 'Supermassive Black Hole', 'Time Is Running Out' and 'Plug In Baby'.

It isn't the first time they have headlined the festival, having played the iconic Pyramid in 2004, when they topped the bill with Paul McCartney and Oasis.

Revellers still have plenty left to enjoy as this year's festival continues over the next two days.

Sunday night will also see seasoned headliners Coldplay introduce their third Pyramid Stage set, as they draw the 2016 event to a close.

Across the many other stages at the event, the likes of The 1975, Tom Odell, Years And Years and Earth, Wind And Fire will also perform.
