Golden Globes 2020 Winners List: British Stars Clean Up At This Year's Awards

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood bagged the most awards on the night, but some big British names came out on top too.

The winners at this year’s Golden Globes have now been announced, and while Once Upon A Time In Hollywood bagged the most awards in this year’s ceremony, there was a strong showing from the British stars in attendance.

Among them was Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who picked up two awards, one for her show Fleabag and another for her specific acting performance in it.

Also among the winners was her Fleabag co-star Olivia Colman, who picked up Best Actress In A TV Drama for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix’s The Crown.

Taron Egerton was named Best Actor In A Musical Or Comedy Film for his performance in the Elton John biopic, while the man himself also won the award for Best Original Song, for his new contribution to the soundtrack.

Meanwhile, Sam Mendes picked up Best Director for his latest film 1917, which was also named Best Drama Film.

Aside from the British winners, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood picked up three of the five awards it was nominated for, while Joaquin Phoenix and Renée Zellweger were awarded for their performances in Joker and Judy, respectively.

And while Marriage Story was the most-nominated film of the night, it won just won award, which went to Laura Dern in the Best Supporting Actress category.
