Gwyneth Paltrow has announced she’s bringing her (in)famous wellness summit to Europe for the first time – and a ticket can be yours for £1,000.
The two-day event will take place at Re:Centre in Hammersmith, London, this June. An all-access day pass will include wellness workshops, a clean
beauty apothecary, talks will “boundary-pushing celebrities” and more.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s also a weekend ticket, which provides everything included in the day pass, plus VIP workouts and a two-night hotel stay at the Kimpton Fitzroy hotel. A steal at the sum of £4,500...
Paltrow’s previous ‘In Goop Health’ wellness summits have been star-studded affairs across the pond, with attendees including Olivia Wilde, Jessica Alba and Elle Macpherson. But the brand has faced its fair share of controversy.
From vaginal steaming to a piece linking bra underwire to breast cancer, the site has published articles that have raised eyebrows. Who could forget the brand’s jade eggs which Goop once recommended women insert into their vaginas to improve muscle tone?
The advice was criticised by gynaecologists, and Goop paid $145,000 in penalties to settle a California consumer-protection case after suggesting the product could lead to better sex and regular periods.
But Paltrow’s aspirational lifestyle juggernaut seems to continue to thrive.
In September the brand opened its first UK store in London’s Notting Hill. The store, selling everything from “Fur” pube oil to “Inner Beauty Powder”, was originally meant to be a temporary pop-up. But seven months later, the shop has become a permanent fixture.
