Who said a leopard can’t change its spots?
Case in point: Mr Gordon Ramsay.
The TV chef has been very vocal about his anti-vegan stance in the past. As recently as last February he was spouting off about being a proud carnivore (sample line: “I’m a member of PETA! People eating tasty animals....”), but it appears Gordon’s had a change of heart.
While it’s not exactly a full 360 (he’s still a carnivore), Gordon has realised there’s money to be made vegans need feeding too, and so has introduced a completely vegan roast dinner at his Bread Street Kitchen restaurant in London.
Cue an outraged Piers Morgan, who, on discovering the existence of the vegan roast tweeted Gordon, writing: “Oh FFS Ramsay… no you as well? This looks utterly revolting” complete with puking emojis.
It didn’t take the chef long to respond, which he did during an appearance on James Corden’s Late Late Show on Tuesday evening.
“So Piers Morgan is now a food critic?! Go and fuck yourself! Seriously?! Really?” he said.
He added: “Veganism is on the rise, we’ve got to adapt and eat a slice of humble pie.”
Earlier this year, Piers accused Greggs of being “PC ravaged clowns” after the nationwide bakers launched a vegan sausage roll.
But his outrage was met with derision on Twitter, the upshot of which was that the Good Morning Britain host provided Greggs with the sort of publicity that money can’t buy.
