Radio 1 DJs Greg James and Nick Grimshaw are on the run again, a year after playing a game of hide and seek that lasted almost 24 hours.
The pair announced their plans during Monday’s breakfast show, which saw them joined in the studio by Scott Mills, Adele Roberts, Jordan North and Maya Jama.
All of the presenters – including Greg and Nick – appeared to have no idea what was happening, when a mysterious voice boomed through the studio and instructed Nick, Greg, Jordan and Maya to leave.
“Transport is waiting for you outside,” it said. “You will be taken to the Tower of London. You will receive further instructions at 8am.”
The four then left the studio and made their way to the London landmark, where it was revealed that Greg and Grimmy knew a little more than they were letting on.
Well, we say “a little more” but they were actually in on the whole thing.
On Twitter, the pair revealed they knew exactly what was happening, with Greg revealing in a video he uploaded to the site: “Hide and seek is back for 2019. listen from 4pm today, that’s when the game begins.”
They then set off on a speedboat down the Thames and will spend the rest of the day making their way to a secret location.
Listeners will then be tasked with finding them, but if last year’s game is anything to go by, it’s not going to be easy.

Stunts like this one have become commonplace on the station since Greg took over the breakfast show.
Back in February, he took on a solo challenge by entering a special Radio 1 Escape Room, which took him more than 30 hours to crack.
