In a statement, his family said: ”’We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease.

“He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done.

“Harry was not just our son. He was also a wonderful brother, loving grandson, favourite uncle and a caring friend.

“He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light into so many people’s hearts. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out.”

Harry was born in 1996 to Peter Brant, a businessman, publisher and art dealer, and Stephanie Seymour, known as one of the fashion world’s original supermodels.

After penning a teenage column in his father’s Interview magazine, he later followed in his mother’s footsteps, modelling for designer Balmain and appearing in Italian Vogue.

Harry also founded a uni-sex make-up line for Mac alongside his brother in 2015.

The New York Times reported he had struggled with addiction for several years, with his parents saying he had been planning to enter a rehab facility this year.

Harry is survived by his parents, his brother Peter Jr, 27, and 16-year-old sister Lilly, as well as five half-siblings from his parents’ previous marriages.
