Harry Styles is getting ready to make his debut as a solo artist, but Simon Cowell probably won’t be too happy with the latest reports, which claim he won’t be signing a deal with Sony.
The soon-to-be solo star looks set to sign with Universal Music Group instead, according to sources, having been with Syco, Simon Cowell's division of Sony, as a member of 1D.
A One Direction insider tells The Sun: “It was obvious from day one that Harry wouldn’t stay with Simon Cowell, Syco or a Sony label.
The paper adds that Sony are doing their best to hold on to Harry though, with another source adding: “Harry is being offered so many incentives to stay. They’re breaking the bank for him.”
Since 1D began their indefinite hiatus, Harry’s been enjoying a well-earned break, but this month he began filming for his big screen debut, ‘Dunkirk’, in which he’ll star opposite Sir Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy.
He also hit headlines recently for - brace yourself - actually cutting his hair.
