Helen Flanagan is set to return to ‘Coronation Street’, five years after quitting the soap.
The 26-year-old actress will reprise her role as Rosie Webster, ITV have confirmed.
Helen will begin filming at the end of this year, and she’ll be back on our screens in February.
Viewers will see Rosie surprise her parents when she arrives back to visit them with sister Sophie, who’s returning from their trip to Miami.
Rosie left Weatherfield in February 2012, but viewers have seen her mum Sally head off to visit her on numerous occasions, but Rosie has never come home - until now.
Further storyline details are being kept under wraps but producers have promised us that her return will be ‘eventful’.
Speaking about her return to the cobbles, Helen said: “I’m so excited to be returning to Coronation Street and being part of the Webster family again.”
Since leaving ‘Corrie’, Helen appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ and ‘Celebrity Super Spa’.
But since having her daughter Matilda with footballer Scott Sinclair, she’s kept a relatively low public profile.
‘Coronation Street’ producer Kate Oates added: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we. With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit. We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”
