Helen Flanagan has admitted she is embarrassed about her racy past, having seen her old self in a new light since becoming a mother.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress was once well known for sharing provocative images on her social media accounts following her profile-raising stint on ‘I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ in 2012.
However, she has now told Fabulous magazine that having her daughter Matilda has changed her outlook.
“I was recently looking at my Instagram [from before Matilda] and thinking: ‘Oh my god, were you off your head? What the hell?’” she explained.
“I want to give a different image,” she said. “But then again, I don’t think there’s anything really wrong with celebrating a body.”
And while you won’t see Helen posing up a storm on Instagram any time soon, she did admit that she doesn’t regret going topless for one photoshoot.
“I’ve only done one topless picture,” she said. “That was just me and my photographer friend messing about in my flat because I really like doing shoots.
“When Matilda’s older, she’ll probably absolutely cringe and be like, ‘Mum,that’s so embarrassing’.”
Helen recently addressed reports she could return to ‘Coronation Street’, following the announcement the ITV soap will air six episodes a week from 2017.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ last week, she said: “I would love to go back but just for a few episodes.
“I wouldn’t want to do anything permanent because I would miss Matilda too much but it is good to do something for yourself. It’s nice to have a bit of balance.”
