Gillean McLeod, who is based in New York, US, was working as a stylist when she was scouted to become a model - at the age of 53.
Having turned 60 this year, McLeod is still landing major campaigns and proving that beauty really does have no age limit.
"I can’t tell you how much modeling changed my life – I am just so much more confident in myself," she told H&M magazine.
"I sort of take pride in not doing botox or any of that face stuff. That look just seems so forced and strange to me. I am happy with the way I am. And I am here, you know? Doing a swimwear shoot today!"
Writing on her Instagram, McLeod said she believes "60 is the new 20".
Revealing that she had the best time of her life during her 50s, she wrote: "This past decade disappeared in a nanosecond. There were some very fierce obstacles in my way but I hung in there and now here it is. 60."
"Only keep with you the people who inspire you and bring joy and light into your life. There's always another incredible moment just waiting around the corner," she added.
