’I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!’ bosses are reportedly lining up two soap stars for this year’s series.
According to a report, ‘Emmerdale’ actress Fiona Wade and ‘Neighbours’ star Olympia Valance are among the stars set for the 16th run of the ITV reality show.
Fiona is best known as the Dales’ Priya Sharma, while Olympia currently plays Paige Smith on the Australian soap, and is also the sister of fellow ‘Neighbours’ star Holly Candy.
A source told the Sunday People both will be entering the jungle later this year.
However, Fiona has previously gone on record to say she is not a big fan of reality shows, stating: “I’m not interested in doing reality TV for the sake of it – it would have to be the right one.”
The pair have joined a list of rumoured contestants including former UKIP leader Nigel Farage, Michael Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray and ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ star Helen Lederer, who is said to have turned down a big money ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ deal to do ‘I’m A Celeb’ instead.
It has also been suggested that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s ex-husband, Jean-Bernard may be taking part.
A source told Now magazine: “He’d really like to become a UK TV personality. When he was with Cheryl he shunned the limelight but now he wants to build up his reputation.
“I’m sure the guys behind ‘I’m A Celebrity’ would love to have him on board and JB may consider that, but there’s also talk of a Piers Morgan-style big interview.”
‘I’m A Celebrity’ is expected to return to ITV in November.
