Sunday night’s launch show saw 10 stars arriving in the all-new I’m A Celebrity castle and undertaking the first trial of the series as a group.

However, it looks like there could soon be another surprise in store, as the line-up might not actually be complete after all.

Over the years, it’s become an I’m A Celebrity custom to throw in a couple of contestants as late arrivals, and it looks like this year’s might not be an exception.

In the lead-up to the new series, opera star Russell Watson was heavily rumoured to be taking part, and gave a few cryptic answers when quizzed about it in interviews.

Asked about these rumours during an interview with Hello! magazine, Russell teased: “I was linked with playing James Bond back in 2002 and that never happened – but watch this space.”

Russell was previously spotted at what was believed to be a photo-shoot for the new series of I’m A Celebrity, as was West End performer Ruthie Henshall, who was also absent from the line-up when it was first announced.

It’s since been revealed that viewers have voted for EastEnders star Shane Richie and radio presenter Jordan North to undergo the next trial in the series, which will see them trying to crack a code while concealed in an underground chest filled with snakes.
