Carol Vorderman is the latest star being lined up to appear on the new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, according to reports.
The 55-year-old former ‘Loose Women’ presenter is reportedly close to signing a six-figure deal to head to the jungle when the show returns to ITV in November.
A source told the Sun: “She is well-known and still carries a lot of sex appeal.
Carol, who became a household name as Countdown’s resident brain box between 1982 and 2008, is no stranger to reality TV, having already appeared on ‘The Apprentice: You’re Fired!’ in 2010.
The line-up for this year’s series of ‘I’m A Celeb’ has been kept under wraps but a number of well-known faces have already been linked to the show.
These include ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt, Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field, model and presenter Lisa Snowdon, former footballer Robbie Savage, comic Helen Lederer, and ‘Coronation Street’ actor Craig Charles.
In possibly the show’s biggest ever shake-up, bosses are this year reported to be BANNING already established reality TV stars from heading to the jungle.
Following ‘Geordie Shore’ celeb Vicky Pattison’s triumph in the jungle last year, execs are said to be seeking “more credible stars”.
The Sun reports that they are banning the likes of ‘TOWIE’ favourites and ‘Made in Chelsea’s Spencer Matthews in favour of a lineup more similar to that on BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
