Tulisa has responded to reports that she threw the upcoming series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ into “chaos” by pulling out with a week to go, insisting that she never even agreed to be a contestant.
According to the Daily Star, Tulisa had “signed up” for the upcoming series of the ITV reality show, which kicks off next week, but ultimately pulled out at the eleventh hour, due to her fear of bugs.
However, a spokesperson for Tulisa has now insisted: “This story is complete lies. Tulisa never signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity’ this year.
“She didn’t even have a meeting with the show this year.”
The Daily Star went on to claim in their initial report that former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Ola Jordan - who was reported to have finally signed on the dotted line earlier this week - was drafted in as a last-minute replacement for the ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’ singer.
Tulisa’s name has cropped up in conjunction with an appearance on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ over the past few years, with reports suggesting at one point that she’d even been offered a hefty £500,000 for a reality TV stint, but ultimately turned it down.
With just a week to go until the new series begins, celebrities have now begun landing in Australia.
So far, comedian Joel Dommett and Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek have both been seen at Brisbane airport, with more expected to land Down Under in the coming days.
The new series of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ kicks off on Sunday, 13 November at 9pm on ITV.
