Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham has apologised after missing an interview on This Morning because he was too hungover.
Jack had been booked to appear on the ITV daytime show on Thursday, where he and his Celebs Go Dating co-stars Lady Colin Campbell and Lauren Goodger were scheduled to discuss the upcoming series.
However, when the interview aired, Lady C was the only contestant there, with host Eamonn Holmes noting: “It was the Celebs Go Dating wrap party last night, and of our three guests booked, Lady C is the only one who’s turned up today. Some party that must have been?”
“Yes it was,” she responded. “And I don’t think we need to guess too hard as to where they are and what they’re doing. The only question mark is… with whom?
“I saw them as I was leaving, which was well after midnight, and Jack did say, ‘oh I’ll see you tomorrow’, and I said ‘sure’, and Lauren seemed a little bit less [sure].”
On Friday, Jack apologised for his absence, tweeting: “I wanted to apologise to everyone [at This Morning] & the viewers for my no show yesterday. I won’t make excuses. I got over excited at the late night filming of the CGD wrap party and obviously regret that now.
“So sorry once again & hope I get the chance to make it up to everyone.”
Lauren had tweeted a day earlier, blaming Jack for their collective no-show.
“I’m so so so sorry guys ! Jack is to blame he called the party on!” she tweeted. “I am gutted I missed you guys! Send my love and kisses and apologies!!!
“Was looking forward to seeing you both, but wish I was nursing hangover but I am busy girl today.”
Joining the trio on the new series of Celebs Go Dating are Jack’s former Love Island co-star Megan Barton-Hanson, Blue singer Lee Ryan and The Only Way Is Essex cast member Demi Sims.
This Morning airs every weekday from 10.30am on ITV.
