James Arthur’s comeback is going from strength to strength, and after receiving plenty of attention for his latest single ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ - which topped the iTunes Chart - he’s now re-signed with Simon Cowell’s label Syco Records.
The ‘X Factor’ star was dropped by Si two years ago, and it’s fair to say the pair haven’t always been the best of friends, but it seems they’ve now put their differences aside.
A spokesperson for Syco has confirmed the news to The Sun, stating: “We can confirm that James Arthur is now once again signed to Syco Music in the UK.
The deal comes following some time out for James, during which he addressed a number of personal problems, before signing with Sony Germany and management group James Grant.
Earlier this week, the singer appeared on ‘This Morning’ to discuss the mental health issues he has previously dealt with, explaining that his anxiety was once so bad that he thought he was having a heart attack.
“I didn’t realise how devastated I would feel,” he said, of being dropped by the label. “Looking back at the character I was, I’m embarrassed.
“It’s been tough looking back but I had to because I had to face those demons and learn how to not buckle under pressure.”
