With gyms closed for another week here in the UK, many of us have been struggling to motivate ourselves to work out at home.

However, it appears Jamie Dornan has got the solution – Abba.

The 50 Shades Of Grey star has revealed he uses show tunes to soundtrack his home exercise routines, and he’s a particular fan of the Mamma Mia! musical.

In a video he posted on Instagram, a sweaty Jamie could be seen doing bent-over rows to the Swedish group’s hit Dancing Queen, which features in both the Mamma Mia! stage production and film series.

He wrote: “If you don’t workout listening to songs from musicals you’re getting it ALL wrong.”

And with a soundtrack as jam-packed with hits as the Mamma Mia one, it’s hard to disagree with Jamie.

The actor has been giving fans an insight into different aspects of his life during lockdown.

He previously shared a photograph of himself in a dress and high heels, wearing a blue wig, and wrote: “Dressing up with my daughters took a turn. Meet Jenny (with the blue hair). She’s sweet.”

In between exercising and keeping his daughters entertained, Jamie has been using lockdown to work on two scripts.

He told The Lockdown Podcast earlier this week: “I’ve spent so much time with my family, my kids more so than I usually would over a four month stretch so that’s a very positive thing. I’ve written two scripts as well during lockdown, one that I’ve been trying to write for ages but just didn’t have the time so I guess I’m thankful for that.

“I’m glad I’ve taken the risk to do it and put my time and energy into doing it [writing scripts] when I wasn’t homeschooling the kids... one I’ve written with a mate of mine from Belfast and it’s getting a bit of traction.”

He added: “We’re tidying up our third draft of it now and you do get a bit ahead of yourself thinking of locations, it’s all set in Belfast... but we just want to make sure we have it right and have the script down and something we are very proud of, we’ve got a little bit of a plan but two years would be kind of brilliant.”
