Jamie Laing’s future on Strictly Come Dancing is said to be in doubt, after he was pictured using crutches and sporting a “moon boot”.
The Made In Chelsea star is one of 15 celebrities currently gearing up to make their dance floor debut on this year’s series of Strictly.
However, The Sun published photos of him on Monday, in which he was seen walking through London on crutches.
According to the tabloid, Jamie “landed awkwardly” on his foot during the group number in the pre-recorded live show, which was filmed on Friday night.
During the show, the celebrities also discovered which professional dancer they’ll be performing with for the duration of their time on the show, with the pairs now in rehearsals until the first live show later this month.
A Strictly Come Dancing spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.
Jamie’s apparent fall wasn’t the only incident during the taping of this year’s Strictly launch show, with judge Craig Revel Horwood also having to apologise after a joke he made at the expense of reigning champion Stacey Dooley.
After Stacey and professional dancer Kevin Clifton performed together one last time, Craig remarked: “Stacey was dragged up from the dance gutter... of course, if you sleep with your dance partner that helps.”
He later said: “I’m deeply sorry for the offence caused to Kevin and Stacey and everyone who works on the show.
“I recognise that what I said was hurtful, cruel and incredibly disrespectful. It was a huge error of judgment that I very much regret.”
The Strictly Come Dancing launch show airs on Saturday at 7.40pm on BBC One.
