Rep. Jasmine Crockett has earned a reputation for her unflinching readiness to speak out against those in power — and this time, she has a pointed message for President Donald Trump.

After Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, Crockett, a Democrat representing Texas, was approached by the organization Call To Activism — a group formed to stand up to Trump and the GOP — and was asked, “If you could tell Donald Trump anything tonight, what would you tell him?”

“I would tell him to grow a spine and stop being Putin’s ho,” Crockett responded.

Trump has quickly appeared sympathetic to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s cause in his second term, frequently launching attacks on Ukraine leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy and halting aid to Ukraine amid its ongoing war with Russia.

Trump and Vice President JD Vance teamed up against Zelenskyy during his visit to the U.S. in February, accusing him of being “disrespectful” and telling him he had “no cards” to negotiate an end to Russia’s brutal invasion of his country.

Crockett also dismissed Trump’s assertion on Tuesday that the United States would eventually gain control over Greenland “one way or the other” as “really psychotic.”

“I don’t even know why we fighting with Greenland,” she told Adam Mockler of the progressive MeidasTouch Network. “Why are we fighting with Greenland? We fighting with Canada, we fighting with Mexico, yet we in love with Putin? What is happening? Like, this is not America. This is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the fuck up because I’m ready to get on with it.”

Earlier in February, during an interview at the nation’s Capitol, Crockett was asked, “Elon and Trump are trying to threaten and intimidate, are you intimidated?”

She swiftly and confidently responded: “No.”
