In the current barmy/insane world of US politics it takes something really special to grab our attention.
Like this video from Democratic Senate candidate for Missouri State, Jason Kander, for example.
In order to counter attacks from his Republican opponent, Roy Blunt, takes what can only be described as an incredibly impressive hands-on approach.
He says: “Sen. Blunt has been attacking me on guns. Well, in the Army, I learned how to use and respect my rifle. In Afghanistan, I volunteered to be an extra gun in a convoy of unarmored SUVs.
“And in the State Legislature, I supported Second Amendment rights,” he continued. I also believe in background checks, so the terrorists can’t get their hands on one of these.
Then, after removing his blindfold and holding a fully-assembled AR-15, he says: “I approve this message, because I would like to see Sen. Blunt do this.”
