As the two lead stars in new Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon should already know a lot about the weird and world of daytime telly.

However, it seems they’ve a lot left to learn about the often ridiculous goings on here in the UK, as This Morning’s Alison Hammond proved during Monday’s show.

The US stars were left completely shocked and bemused as the ITV presenter introduced them to some of the more outrageous things that have happened on This Morning over the years.

Alison put Jen and Reese to the test in a game of This Morning Or This Can’t Be Real?, where she described a series of memorable moments, which the pair then had to guess whether or not were real.

Such examples included the time a woman cracked watermelons between her thighs, the time a knife-thrower’s assistant was struck live on air and when Gino D’Acampo cooked naked in the studio.

Jennifer and Resse couldn’t believe it when all three moments turned out to have actually aired – especially when they were shown the real footage.

Let’s just say their faces said it all...

“I’m starting to think this is the craziest show in the universe,” Reese said.

Jen laughed: “Anything is possible!”

Eagle-eyed viewers have also spotted how This Morning and its presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield make a cameo appearance on The Morning Show.

The pair can be seen on a TV screen hosting a health segment with Dr Chris Steele during a scene featuring Jennifer Aniston’s character Alex Levy.
