ITV has removed all previous episodes of The Jeremy Kyle Show from its on-demand service, ITV Hub.

Bosses took the step after the programme was taken off-air indefinitely, following the death of a contributor.

Monday morning’s episode was dropped from the schedules at the 11th hour, with a spokesperson later confirming the show had been suspended pending review.

Old episodes of The Jeremy Kyle Show have since been removed, with those visiting the ITV Hub to watch on catch-up redirected to the show’s website.

HuffPost UK has contacted ITV for comment and is awaiting a response.

A spokesperson for the channel previously confirmed production on the show is currently on hold, such is the gravity of the situation.

They said in a statement: “Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.

“ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured.”

They added: “Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.”

The Jeremy Kyle Show is a main-stay of the ITV daytime schedule, having aired each weekday since 2005.

It has come under a lot of scrutiny during its 14 years on air, with one judge notably branding it “human bear-baiting” in 2007, following an incident in which one guest headbutted another.

After ITV pulled Monday’s edition, a repeat episode of David Dickinson’s Real Deal was broadcast in its place. It currently remains unclear if this will serve as a replacement while The Jeremy Kyle Show is off air.
