Having romanced Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and a litany of other Hollywood beauties, John Mayer is no stranger to dating in the public eye. But this weekend, the notorious Lothario told "CBS Sunday Morning" that his courtship with Katy Perry, 28, is different from those with his previous conquests.
"For the first time in my life I don't feel like I'm in a celebrity relationship," Mayer, 35, said. "I really don't. I'm not in a high profile -- I know it's high profile. It's hard to explain…"
"Doesn't feel that way to me," he continued. "And great! I'm glad. But I know what you're saying. I'm not denying it. I'm saying that for me it feels like something that's very human."
When asked if he sees marriage in his future, Mayer told CBS, "Of course. I mean, I'm still the kid from Connecticut. That's what you do."
While Perry and Mayer posed affectionately at Clive Davis' pre-Grammy bash Saturday, Perry had another hot date for the awards show Sunday: "Girls" star Allison Williams.
“She’s the hottest date,” Williams told Anderson Cooper of Perry. “She’s a friend of mine and she’s nominated, as she should be. I can’t wait to go. Obviously she’s awesome. She’s the best.”
