Judge Rinder tore into Boris Johnson’s father Stanley during Channel 4′s election coverage after he suggested female fighter pilots should not wear burkas.
The daytime TV personality accused Stanley of “talking complete rubbish” during a discussion about the prime minister’s previous comments comparing veiled Muslim women to letter boxes and bank robbers.
The pair appeared on the panel of Channel 4’s Alternative Election Night alongside comedian Nish Kumar, when Stanley said: “If I was a female fighter jet pilot, I would expect someone to say ‘don’t wear a burka’.”
He was immediately booed by the audience while Nish placed his head in his hands and said: “What are you talking about man?”
Judge Rinder – real name Robert – replied: “We’d expect them to be qualified. That’s the only thing that matters.”
He added: “How dare you you sit there and use that kinds of language. And that’s disgraceful.
“Whether I’m a person of the left or the right, don’t use the platform you’ve been gifted to say anything else.
“People who want to defend our country should do so in circumstances where they’re adequately qualified.”
Stanley then questioned if there are “certain circumstances,” including court, where people are required to show their face.
Judge Rinder replied: “You’re talking complete rubbish.
“There are systems in place that guarantee the dignity of everybody who comes to British courts, who are treated equally because that’s what this country is.”
Earlier Stanley, who was a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2017, said he was “very, very pleased with the exit polls” that indicated the Conservatives’ landslide victory.
Speaking of his son, he said: “I’ve got to say, all this stuff about him being a right-wing populist, that’s not the child I knew, he was pro-European.
“Of course he was pro-European. Okay folks, why do you think he is called Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson? Because he’s got about four streaks of Europeanism in his pedigree.
“It is in his DNA, that is a man who is as European as you can think of. What this government is going to do is rebuild a bridge to Europe that is going to be so strong it can never be blown down.”
