Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun has admitted he grew so concerned about the star during the height of his personal problems that he feared he would die.

During an interview on ‘The Red Pill’ podcast, Scooter spoke about the decision to pull the remainder of Justin’s tour last year, admitting he “worried every night” about the ‘Where Are U Now’ singer.

I was worried every night that I was gonna lose him,” Scooter recalled. “That was the time when I was telling him he’s not allowed to work.

“He used to yell and scream at me and he wanted to put music out. He wanted to tour, but I thought if he did that, he would die. So I just refused.

“We weren’t making any money, it wasn’t like I was trying to take advantage — I didn’t want him to work, I wanted him to get healthy.”

Remaining careful not to go into detail about the specificities of Justin’s issues, Scooter added: “I thought he was going to die. I thought he was going to sleep one night and that he would have so much crap in his system that he would not wake up the next morning.

“I was trying to monitor him from a distance, I would fly after him at times, all kinds of different stuff.”

He added: “When he accepted his responsibility and took a long, hard look at himself and not what everyone else was doing, that’s when he owned it and he got healthy, and he made the choice to change.”

As well as being Justin’s long-time manager, Scooter also looks after pop singers Carly Rae Jepsen and Ariana Grande, the latter of whom recently posted a statement in his defence, when it was suggested he wasn’t taking good enough care of his artists.

Having seemingly turned over a new leaf, Justin announced in July that he was engaged to the model Hailey Baldwin.
